Sales, invoicing and marketplace integrations for garment makers in Odoo

The quotation is written on a size and colour grid, the customer accepts it in the portal, the order launches production and delivery, and the invoice comes from the order. The online store and marketplaces feed the same chain.

The process, step by step

  1. Write the quotation on a gridThe article is added to the quotation through the size and colour grid, and Odoo creates one line per variant with a quantity. The printed quotation can show the grid, for the customer to read in one table.
  2. Send and accept in the portalThe customer receives the quotation by e-mail and opens it in the portal, where they read and accept it. The company can require an online signature to confirm.
  3. Launch productionConfirming the order launches the manufacturing orders of the variants sold, described on the make-to-order production page, and reserves stock for articles that already exist.
  4. DeliverThe order creates the outgoing transfer, with reservations per variant. When the warehouse validates it, stock goes down and the order is marked delivered.
  5. InvoiceThe invoice comes from the order, on the quantities ordered or delivered, depending on the article. Certified invoicing is handled through a partner certified by the Portuguese tax authority (AT), connected to Odoo.
  6. Sell onlineOdoo’s online store sells the same articles and variants. The order enters the same chain: reservation, production, delivery and invoice.
  7. Connect the marketplacesTSC’s Shoppingfeed connector links Odoo to sales channels through Shoppingfeed. It synchronises the catalogue, stock and orders of the connected channels; the exact scope varies by channel.

From quotation to invoice and sales channels

The first lane is direct sales. The second is the online channels, which feed the same order.

Limits and what does not exist yet

  • TSC’s Shoppingfeed connector depends on the Enterprise module sale_account_accountant. On a Community-only database, its use is assessed during the diagnostic.
  • The synchronisation scope varies by channel: catalogue, stock and orders for connected channels, and shipment tracking in some only. It is confirmed channel by channel.
  • The online store is optional: not every garment maker uses it. A company that sells only to brands and resellers can use just the quotation and the portal.
  • The packing list per carton, size and colour, in each brand’s format, is in development and not available yet.

Frequently asked questions

Can the customer view and accept the quotation online?

Yes. The quotation opens in the customer portal, where it is accepted and, if the company requires it, signed online. Confirmation launches the order.

Is invoicing certified?

Certified invoicing is handled through a partner certified by the Portuguese tax authority (AT), connected to Odoo.

Do marketplace orders come into Odoo?

Yes, through TSC’s Shoppingfeed connector: orders from connected channels come in as sales orders and follow the same chain of reservation, delivery and invoice.

Can I sell the same articles in the online store and in the portal?

Yes. The articles and their variants are the same on every channel: stock and reservations are per variant.

Does this require Odoo Enterprise?

Sales, portal, invoices and the online store are in Odoo Community. TSC’s Shoppingfeed connector depends on an Enterprise accounting module.
